Virtually every dimension on this
component can be measured with relevant FMS measurement inserts:
External and internal thread pitch diameter (all thread types)
External and internal recess diameter. Hole diameter
Recess depth/length
(front and back edge)

FMS-DK
specializes in innovative measurement,
primarily based on a digital caliper. Over the years we have made
many simple measurement solutions solving problems that at
first may seem complicated and thus expensive.
FMS originally started with patented thread pitch diameter measurement
inserts and the necessary caliper attachments including calibration
plates for tracability. We have widened our programme with new products
and continue to do so. |

The special FMS digital caliper (YTMT203) for FMS
measurement inserts. External measurements up to 150mm/6". Internal from
6mm/1/4" and up to over 150mm/6".

FMS alu box (99A) for calipers up to
200mm/8" and cavities for up to 15 pairs of FMS measurement inserts plus
calibration plates etc.

A FMS Pressure Device (40A) makes
accurate, repeatable caliper measurement easy.
All discussion on too much or too little measurement pressure is
eliminated.

Virtually all types of external and internal thread type pitch diameters can be
measured using FMS thread inserts:
M, UNC, UNF, UN, UNS, G, Rp, Pg, Tr, Acme, Stub Acme, Rd,
NPT, R, Rc and many more.
Is there a thread type pitch diameter that can't be
measured with FMS? We don't think so - try us.
Measurement with FMS thread inserts will ensure that you know where
the thread pitch diameter is in relation to the pitch diameter tolerance.
This knowledge is often crucial, whether manufacturing one off threaded
components, small series or mass producing, especially during set-up,
If the thread pitch diameter is measured, only a "GO" thread plug or ring gauge
is necessary to check full thread profile and pitch.
With single items or small series, a suitable screw or nut can also replace a
thread gauge and, in such cases, simply be used to establish general thread
profile and pitch.
